Kajal Agarwal was born to Vinay Aggarwal, who is an industrialist and Suman Aggarwal a confectioner. She has one younger sister named Nisha Agarwal also a famous tamil and telugu actress.

Kajal was born on 19 June 1985 in Mumbai. She has studied her schooling from St. Anne's High School, Mumbai and Jai Hind College. She has obtained degree in Mass Media from K.C. College, Mumbai. She began her career in modelling during her college days. She has also planned to pursue MBA in Brand Management but has entered film industry. In count to films, Kajal is the brand envoy for Lux and also featured in Bru instant coffee advertisement along with actor Karthi.

Actress Kajal has started her acting career with Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, then entered Tollywood industry with Lakshmi Kalyanam, in 2007. She has gained fame and success with the film Chandamama. In 2008, she made her debut in Tamil film “Pazhani”. She appeared in the high budget Telugu historical drama “Magadheera”, alongside “Ram Charan” “Teja”.
