Her father Prakash Padukone who was a former top world level badminton player
and Ujjala Padukone, who is a travel agent. When she was only eleven months old
they moved to Bangalore, India. She has a younger sister name
Anisha, who is a golfer and ranks ninth in the country in the sport.
Deepika Padukone pursued a career in modelling. She started
modelling assignment with Lakme fashion week in 2005. After that she signed
many modelling coursework and was awarded as Model of the year in Kingfisher
fashion awards. She was a Brand diplomat of Levi Strauss and Tissot SA. She
made her cinematic debut in the Kannada Film Aishwarya in 2006 starring
